It’s Scholarship Time!

Welcome to year #6 of the DAP scholarship season.  With your help we will have plenty of qualified applicants to choose from.

We offer the following Scholarships: (All awards are to US Citizens or Naturalized Citizen).  Applicants do NOT have to be associated with DAP JAX nor reside in the NE Florida area.

Scholarships are for one year only.  Scholarship funds will be sent as direct payment to the university or college and applied to the student’s account.

DAPAA JAX STEM or Business Leadership Scholarships

This scholarship is for one each (separate) for STEM and Business Leadership Development.  Applicant must be a high school senior with course work toward STEM or Business and Leadership related curriculums. Applicant must be enrolled in an accredited university, college, community college, or trade school for the fall semester of the year of application.  Selectee receives an academic award for demonstrated academic and leadership achievement as well as significant community involvement.

Submit Scholarship Application along with the following:

  • High School Transcript with a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA.
  • ACT/SAT scores.
  • Community Service Letters.
  • Maximum two-page personal essay explaining what this scholarship means to you and evidence of leadership and involvement in service to community or school, and personal financial need.


The $1000 scholarship will be applied directly to the recipient’s student account at their institution.  Deadline is 20 May 2022.

DAPAA JAX Northeast Florida Patriot Scholarship

The Patriot Scholarship awarded to deserving high school seniors whose parents have served in any branch of the military (active duty, Guard or Reserve) who will continue their education after high school either at a college, university, or trade school

Submit Scholarship Application along with:

  • Letter on Command Letterhead verifying service status of parent/guardian
  • Two page essay

This $1000 scholarship will be applied directly to the recipient’s continued student account at their institution.  This award is intended to supplement educational financial responsibilities and encourage recipients to continue their educational and career goals.   Deadline is 20 May 2022.

DAPAA JAX Founders Scholarship

This Scholarship is established in honor of the DAU AA JAX Chapter Founders. Applicant must be a high school senior with course work toward STEM or Business and enrolled in an accredited university, college, community college, or trade school for the fall semester of the year of application.  Selectee receives an award for demonstrated academic and leadership achievement as well as significant community involvement.  The award with take financial needs into consideration along with other factors.

Submit Scholarship Application along with:

  • Academic transcript.
  • Two page essay outlining academic and leadership achievements, community involvement and financial need.

The $2000 scholarship will be applied directly to the recipient’s student account at their institution.  Deadline is 20 May 2022.

DAUAA JAX Elizabeth D. Nealin STEM Excellence Sustainment (SES) Scholarship

The Nealin SES Scholarship awards existing college Sophomores, Juniors or Seniors enrolled in an ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) accredited undergraduate program in engineering or other STEM field at a university, college, or community college for the fall semester of the year of application. This award is focused at encouraging continuation (sustaining efforts) for demonstrated academic and leadership achievement in attaining a degree in Engineering or other STEM field.

Submit Scholarship Application along with:

  • Applicant must show a proven record of academic achievement via college transcript (may be official or unofficial) of 3.0 or better for engineering, science, technology and math courses.  Weighting will be applied to the number of STEM courses taken.
  • Two­ page essay on the topic of “Why I chose to pursue an engineering/STEM career and what I hope to accomplish with my degree.”  Applicants should highlight any personal/financial challenges or barriers encountered.

The $1000 scholarship will be applied directly to the recipient’s account at their institution. The award is intended to supplement educational financial responsibilities and encourage recipients to continue in engineering/STEM in spite of potential obstacles.  Deadline is June 30, 2022.

DAP Thomas University Scholarship

Thomas University’s Center for Military Life is proud to offer a Defense Acquisition Professionals Alumni Association Scholarship for dependents, and grandchildren of military service members and veterans up to $3,000 per academic year.

Students must be:

  • A veteran, spouse, dependent child or a grandchild of a military service member and/or veteran. 
  • Students enrolled full-time are eligible for up to $3,000 per academic year, awarded in the amount of $1,500 for fall and spring semesters.
  • This scholarship can be applied to undergraduate or graduate degree programs.
  • Student must submit a Federal Application for Student Aid (FAFSA).
  • Students must meet admission criteria for the University and program-specific requirements.
  • Scholarship is renewable annually.  Students must maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
  • This scholarship may be combined with additional institutional scholarships up to a maximum of $8,000 per year.

Submit Scholarship Application along with:

  • Verification of military affiliation

The $3,000 scholarship will be applied directly to the recipient’s account at Thomas University.  Deadline is May 20, 2022.

Clay County Scholarship

The Clay County Chamber of Commerce has partnered with DAP to provide scholarships to Clay County High school seniors. Students must be:

  • Current high school senior in Clay County.

Submit Scholarship Application along with:

  • High School transcript
  • ACT or SAT scores
  • 250 word essay
  • Community Service letters

The scholarship is $1,000. Deadline is May 22.
