On February 7th, the same team of engineers from FRCSE again volunteered their considerable talents to judge the Northeast Florida Regional Science and Engineering Fair. The team judged engineering, physics, chemistry, computer science and environmental science projects in the morning and then judged the special DAU NAVAIR awards in the Junior and Senior divisions in the afternoon. The winner of the special DAU NAVAIR award of a plaque and $100 gift card for the Junior division was Stephen Dornier from Christ the King Middle School for his project on The Effects of a 5 lb Weight on Epoxy Resin, Polyester Resin and UV Cure Resin. The winner of the special DAU NAVAIR award of a plaque and $300 gift card for the Senior division was Emma Lee and Eric Lee from the Science Club Association for their project on Simulating Astronautic Information Transfer through the Implementation of Optical Laser Technology.
