On February 1st a team of engineers from Fleet Readiness Center Southeast joined other professionals from around Clay County to judge entries in the Clay County Science Fair.  The team judged engineering, physics, robotics and other STEM projects all morning and then judged the special DAU NAVAIR awards in both the junior and senior categories in the afternoon.  The winner of the special DAU NAVAIR award of a plaque and $100 gift card for the Junior division was Nadir Kaser from Green Cove Springs Junior High for his project on Rechargeable VS Non-Rechargeable Batteries.  The winner of the special DAU NAVAIR award of a plaque and $300 gift card for the Senior division was Isabela Robert from Fleming Island High for her project on Coating Effects of 3D Printed Models for Tensile Strength.

Thank you to our judges! The FRCSE team of judges consisted of Katie Holland, Elizabeth Nealin, Elijah Lamppin, Dylan Gobaton, Jason Mysliwiec, Justin Haslam, Conner Borgmeier, Stephanie Legg, and Lawrence Phung.  Both the Clay and Northeast Florida science fair committees expressed deep gratitude for FRCSE participation and DAU sponsorship of awards.
